Hi, I am Kinako.

 

I am a holistic and empathetic-focused designer and multimedia artist based in San Francisco, holding a bachelor's degree in industrial design with a minor in sustainability from Pratt Institute. My journey through Pratt Institute highlighted that industrial design transcends tangible products to encompass systems and experiences.

In my design process, I start from an untreated blank canvas. I discard preconceptions and root my approach in “questioning the norm.” Grounded in multidimensional research, I value intuitive creativity to solve problems from different angles. I aim to understand the core of the issue beyond surface-level issues and find the root cause to solve multi-faceted problems.
